Excuse me Haaretz, but I think I have a serious issue to raise IMHO. I just did a little survey on several of the free online English Dictionaries. When I did so, I discovered a.o. that when speaking about `a settler`, most Dictionaries claim: 1. Settler = One who settles in a new region and 2. One who settles or decides something. The latter happens mostly in litigation. So the first meaning of the word `settler` means, "one who settles in a new region". Excuse me, but according to you, Haaretz, 30% of all Jewish settlements are build upon stolen or occupied Palestinian owned land. So not really a new region I guess? So a "settler" which attacked Jewish peace activists, is still a "settler"? And when a "settler" robs a Israeli Bank, do you still consider him to be "just" a "settler" or a Bank robber? And when a Palestinian land owner attacks a "settler", do you consider such to be an act of terror? Haaretz: please stop apologizing the extreme behaviour criminal Jewish settlers.
