| Hamas has a goal and it is beyond ending the blockade. That goal is to appear the savior of the population of Gaza. Hamas is `negotiating` with Egypt as a government. That Egypt is warning against reopening the border, gives evidence of what a powerful position Hamas is in. It can open the border any time it wants and Egypt would have the choice of shooting civilians swarming across or not. The government of Israel has chosen to give great aid and comfort to Hamas by continuing a blockade which has failed spectacularly. |
