| Th e Egyptian Goverment, should open the border, under strict security. The border could be open only during the day, for trading and transport of goods. Special scanners can be installed, the same used for containers in most world ports. Customs Officials can be "borrowed" from the EU. Countries that are from the Muslim Faith and that are close enough to Israel can handle the security. The point is, Israel must isloate itself from Hamas, until such time that a truce can be worked out. There will be no truce until the border situation, vis a vis Rafah, has been solved. Its not a carrot or stick offer. Its the only sane way, to keep the lid on a already boiling pot.It will alleviate the tensions and sufferings of the Gazans. It may even have an effect on the continous Quassam barrages. Egypt holds the key. The question is,will they take a chance. My bet, they will, under very strict measures with Saudi backing. Arms and explosives will always flow into Gaza. They are experts...! |
