| Personally I think that people everywhere should show decency and discretion to othersī cultural sensitivities, which may be hurt by attacking them with the means of satire or insults and mockery. Telling lies like denying truth; for inst. the Holocaust and insulting can NEVER be expressions of freedom of speech! WHAT the Moslem-world probably is not aware of, is that in Scandinavia every newspaper has a caricature-cartoonist to show the most serious matters, usually the politics, in the light of ridiculous satire. It is as old as journalism. Itīs purpose is simply to amuse and put a smile on the readerīs lips in order to stimulate his thinking. The Muhammad cartoons were published in Nov-05; Europe was still in shock after the July London terror-attack and had not yet recoverd from the Madrid-terror-attack-04;both committed in the name of Islam! The Moslem world NEVER apolgized for them nor condemned them.Which silence made EU think that Muhammad approves of such atrocities. |
