Mitzpe Ramon is a natural setting for attracting talented members of Israel`s design community and the artisan sector. This form of "industry" could really stimulate the imagination and consciousness of people seeking an environment for their creativity. We have so many schools of design and so many creative minds that encouraging our talented young generation to build their lives in Mitzpeh Ramon through a well thought out and structured joint program with Bezalel, Shenkar and the Holon students has tremendous potential.
We could give artisans and designers practical assistance and establish partnerships to foster artistic traditions, cultural vitality, livelihoods and community well-being. Collaboration in product development, business skills, training and development of markets, could result in sustainable economic and social benefits for craftspeople in an environmentally sensitive area.
