| VH: "try san remo for the land the jewish state was entitled to ! " Yep, VictorPaul, I`m looking at it right now, and the words "the Jewish State" appear nowhere in it. Samremo and the subsequent Articles of Mandate refer to the rights of Jews to come to to the Middle East and to set up somewhere *in* that Palestine something to called the "national home for the Jewish people", and to do that (in Churchill`s quaint phrase) as of right, and not on sufferance. It says nothing about them setting up "a Jewish State". Nothin` at all. You have to go to Resolution 181 before you see that phrase pop out of the ether. |
