Without Jerusalem on the table the Palestinians are simply wasting their time. They`ll sit and talk about stuff for a year and then the talks will collapse because Israel won`t ever be able to put Jerusalem on the table. In reality the Olmert government is too weak to talk about anything, so much better to bring it down. If the PA insists on talking about Jerusalem then the talks will collapse either because Olmert has to refuse them or because his coalition collapses. Either scenario would bring about Olmert`s demise which would be good for Israel and the Palestinians. Only a strong leader is good for Israel and only a strong leader can hold serious negotiations.
