A previous post I made was censored. That post agreed with the assessment by Yair Golan.

Israel does not have unlimited resources and the problem of the IDF is utilizing those resources in the most efficient and effective fashion.

Many people view `defense` issues from the unrealistic viewpoint that everything is possible and there is nothing that cannot be afforded.

This is not a realistic viewpoint.

While protecting building where the risk of massive casualties - such as schools - might be justified, protecting individual homes is probably not.

What would trying to do so cost Israel?

How much reduced training for the IDF? Or how long would the development of Iron Dome have to be extended?

Sure Israel could forgo purchasing new aircraft next year, but would that be a good choice?

Life is not a Tom Clancy novel with unlimited budgets and a happy outcome.
