Arabs living in Israel who support the State deserve rights and equality. They deserve support and the autonomy this document discusses. These things are not up for questioning. Nor is the Jewish nature of Israel. Israel must remain a Jewish State.
What I question is the segment on the Bedouin. Many Bedouin actually fight in the IDF. Wouldn`t it better to recognize their needs and ask them what they want rather than to "strive to concentrate them in permanent communities?" That smacks of ghettoism and segregation. |
