The US has a system capable of protecting `high value` targets from short ranged missiles and mortar. The US has a system capable of defending against Medium Ranged Ballistic Missiles. The US even has systems which might be able to protect against IRBMs and ICBMs so long as it was a very limited attack. Israel will never be `safe` so long as it depends upon Uncle Sugar to defend it. Anyone who urges Israel to depend upon the United States to defend it, is someone who is willing to make Israel a hostage to US politics. This is not an intelligent or safe idea.
