| because including Syria in a crusade against the middle east is much more pleasant than only fighting with Iran. With Iran making propaganda against Tel Aviv and with the US against Damascus christian fundamentalists in the US and muslim ones in Iran go on divvying the world up among them. Syria and Israel, the first one a more or less secular state and the second one living on a past of disappointed (Jewish) humanism actually were my last hopes for the middle east. The Lebanese are so frightened of each other that they can`t hardly be called a society, while the Palestinians are all too powerless and occupied with their needs and survival in the chaos that they don`t simply have the time to establish normal circumstances out of own force. |
