182,000 tourists in one month. That is really an accomplishment. Everybody wins here: tourists from all over the world enjoy an experience of a lifetime - the bible (no matter which one you embrace) comes to life. And Israel earns millions - probably billions - in tourist revenues.
I love visiting Israel. My favorite site is the Jewish Quarter of the old city. It feels like you`ve been taken back 1000 years in history.
Israel has something for every tourist - whether it`s bible, history, sightseeing, entertainment, food, sports, beaches, magnificent hotels, you name it - Israel`s got it!
The first time I visited Israel was in 1974 - my brother was bar mitzvahed there. I wasn`t too impressed back then - Israel didn`t look much better than a third world country. But these days I can`t get over how beautiful the country looks, whether you`re in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Beersheba, Ashdod, Haifa or Eilat. And it`s so clean - the Israeli people obviously take great pride in their cities. |
