| What did the lynching (and resulting publicity) of Leo Frank in the State of Georgia in 1915 have to do with the State of Israel? I remember looking at the photograph of hundreds of admirers of the corpse hanging with a rope around Frank`s neck. Further, the term "wandering Jew" was coined as a result of the expulsion of Jews from many different countries over the centuries. Anti-Semitism was around and thriving long before Theodore Herzl, Zeev Jabotinsky, and David Ben Gurion. |
