| Israel`s only responsibility toward Jews in the Diaspora is to ensure her own survival. Israel is the only state which grants Jews, wherever they are, a safe haven. Those who elect to remain in their native countries must be protected by their own security services. Israel cannot protect those who are citizens of other countries. Each country has a unique obligation to protect its own citizens. To argue that Israel is responsible for the safety of the citizens of other countries is a very dangerous thesis. Each country is responsible for the safety of its own citizens. To argue otherwise is endangering Jews of the Diaspora and allows enemies of Israel to undermine her own security. |
