Fatah kicked off the festivities in Gaza last June with the attempted assassination of a number of Hamas leaders.
It is entirely possible this tale is true.
If it is then Fatah has reached the point of desperation to risk being seen again as a tool of Israel. Certainly the US and Israel did not deliver what Elliott Abrams had promised Abbas before the June attempt.
Given that Syria seems to be "discovering" that it was Palestinians (spell that Fatah) guilty of whacking that Hizbollah thug in Damascus, it is hard to not ponder the possibility that Fatah is being set up for overthrow in the West Bank. |
