| "The quest for moral equivalency is the guarantee of failure." The underlying problem is exactly related to morals, or the lack thereof, on *both* sides. If you want to argue against "moral equivalency", fine: then first ask yourself how "morally equivalent" it is to materially deprive 1.5 million innocent people in the Gaza Strip, to somehow make them hostage to, and responsible for, the actions of a relatively small group of extreme Islamists. Is this just? Is this moral? Should people be forced to live in want and misery and squalor like that, for those reasons? John Holmes is a humantiarian, and by extension, yes, he is a moralist - the very kind you want looking out for the innocents, in any conflict in which the antagonists have lost their minds and morals.
