| A band of turbaned thugs who routinely execute girls and young women for improper religious observance is not `entitled` to anything save removal from power. It is certainly not entitled to develop a WMD capacity. Cite all the int`l charters you wish, it is idle. One might just as well cite the ICCPR, the UN Declaration on Human Rights and the UN Charter Provisions on preemptive war and point out that under any of these the mullahs can justifiably be removed forcibly from power. None of these provisions are going to convince anyone of anything that they do not already know. All know that theocrats run Iran. Some deplore that, others apparently are able to countenance this with no sense of scandal. |
