Revisionists will probably have a perfectly reasonable explanation for the absence of any real original thinker for the theory and practice of the right wing variety of Zionism. Abhorrence of `intellectuals` (people that can actually substantiate their views) is quite likely one of them. That breeds leaders that love sweeping statements and populistic messages, rather than those that consider problems from all sides.
Sure there`s Nobel Prize winners that support the Greater Israel notion. But winning even such a coveted prize (in the scientific domain) doesn`t have any correlation to the laureate`s political `Weltanschauung".
This looks like a terribly inward looking, ideological, auto-felicitation. Winning a prize awarded by such luminaries as Arens and Landau, is hardly a feat for one`s CV.... |
