Title:If Kosovo can declare independence, Palestine should.

The Palestinian territories are at best (from Israel`s viewpoint) disputed territories. No country recognises Israeli sovereignty over them. By contrast, the world up to now, has recognised Serbian sovereignty over Kosovo. True, Serbia abused that sovereignty, but the worls is sadly full of examples of abused sovereignty from Darfur to Chechnya to Burma etc. and Israeli rule of the Palestinian territories has not exactly been peaceful, effective and succesful. If the world accepts Kosovan independence, how can it logically reject independence for a host of other separatist areas, including Palestine? I`m not usually one to see American plots all over the place, but I can`t help feeling that the only thing that makes Kosovo different from the other situations is that the US wants to keep it as its big Balkan base. Serbia is always going to be closer to Russia than the US. This way, the US has its own little client state in the Balkans.
