| Who, exactly, runs the country of Israel? It is extremely obvious to anyone with a brain that building in Har Homa is a BIG MISTAKE and yet Olmert is unable to stop the ILA from doing this? Are Israelis really that blind and arrogant to think that stupid things like this won`t have extremely negative consequences for everyone in Israel. Two things I am sure will happen very quickly are, the US will be embarrassed and will be less and less willing to help Israel, and Abbas will become even more marginalized. Soon Fatah will either have to become much more radical or they will be replaced by Hamas (or worse). Once the US is unwilling/unable to protect Israel and the Palestinians are more radicalized and supplied with better weapons from BOTH Iran and Saudi Arabia, Israel will be in a fight to the death that it will very probably LOSE. Just becasue Israel has won so far does NOT mean it will win forever. Why push your luck? |
