Jason Gitlin: An American Jew to Olmert: Listen to Israelis, not us, on J'lem's fate
Talkback

I`m usually into giving constructive criticism. So I`ll try to make this sound as positive, encouraging and constructive as possible, but PULEEEEZ, if you want to cause any impact on Israelis (be they right wing, left wing or center/moderate), you must change your writing style. No Israeli will ever relate to what you wrote. You could have dropped the first 4 paragraphs, and it would have been more legible. And just so you know, I can`t speak for Olmert, but I`m pretty much sure he, just like any other secular Israeli, does not care about your sister`s bat mitzvah in J`lem, about your reasons for becoming a rabbi or coming back to Israel at all (which they think you`re crazy anyway), about the Amidah and they barely care about G-d (they may, but in their own way and not as the One who can save the country), and last but not least, since you`ve been here for only half a year, they also don`t care about your recommendations. So take these as tips for future articles. B`hatzlacha.
