America has had sanctions against Iran and Syria for a long time. Still, we hear of American companies doing business in both nations and Syria certainly has a good share of American made items. Bush is embarrasing himself declaring all these meaningless sanctions on top of his call for a meaningless peace. I don`t think anybody from either side is listening to him at all.
