? This sentence (fifteen months) is far more severe than is usually meted out even for killing a Palestinian. The average would be nothing, with the odd two months every now and then.
I think the problem here wasn`t shooting a Pal. That would have been quite all right. It was the wildly undisciplined behavior and flagrant disregard of orders.
Palestinians are untermenschen. It`s quite all right -- even laudable -- to kill them. But disobeying orders and running amok -- that`s a different matter. Hence the sentence. |
