| Anyone who has seen the Erez checkpoint would wonder at the wisdom of taking a bunch of diplomats there and expecting them to feel sympathy for Israel! Checkpoint Charlie is far more likely to raise a feeling of empathy with the Palesinians who suffer idnignity and humiliation if they ever get the chance to pass through it. Says a great deal about how far removed Israel is from Western thought and ideology. |
