I can imagine the Pals position: they look forward to their real war of independence and are prepared to absorb the necessary heavy casualties involved.
During the last 15 years they have not seen any result of recognizing Israel and negociations like Oslo. Settlements doubled, more and more territory was sealed off, their economy intentionally destroyed and thousands were killed.
As you can never permanently suppress the will for freedom and dignity, Israel must be careful with military operations. |
