I just read Omolll`s post in #13 and it shows that no one should expect the US` support for Israel to change any time soon. Omoll says:
"We, americans should not support people based on faith, but based on humanity. If Israel`s securty is threatened by any country, USA should support isarel 100 %. But USA should not support isarel`s unfair treatment for gazans. We love all of you guys and we are brothers. We want hate to dissapear. I am a muslim and Obama supporter."
Like most American`s Omolll says that the US should not support Israel (or anyone) based on religion, or any unfair treatment of Palestinians (or anyone), but that the US should stand by Israel 100% if threatened by any country.
Omolll and I probably disagree over what is and isn`t unfair treatment in Gaza, and such differences are to be expected and discussed, but we agree on everything else. I expect the vast majority of Americans do, too. |
