When you`ve stopped harrumphing about what Israel should do, Joseph, get real. 1. Israel doesn`t have the planes or the bombloads to significantly degrade the Iranian unclear programme. 2. The logistics of getting any warplanes to those nuclear sites that are known are IMPOSSIBLE. Israel would not be permitted to overfly Iraq by the USA (the absence of transponder codes would lead to them being turned back by US fighters). 3. The consequences for Israel of any attack would be HORRIFIC. Don`t imagine that Iran wouldn`t hit back with everything they`ve got. Dimona would certainly be flattened, and probably the oil refinery complexes at Ashdod and Haifa. It`s over, Joseph. Israel`s best hope was to trick the Americans into doing the job for them. This won`t happen now.
