"This is based on the traumatic experience of the Second Lebanon War and Israeli concern that it may suffer heavy casualties"
The Israelis are soft, pampered and spoilt. The next major Israeli assault on Gaza will lead to many dead IDF soldiers. Remember the last time they sent tanks into Gaza? Out of 10 tanks, one was immediately whacked by an anti-tank missile and the crew were lucky to get out with their pants on fire. Hamas has shown with the fall of the Rafah Wall that they are capable of advanced and careful planning. They have not been idle in their months of control of Gaza and have prepared many unpleasant surprises for the IDF. Their weaponry will have improved dramatically during the confusion on the Egyptian border. The Palestinians are not as helpless as once they were. The Gaza operation will cost the IDF dearly. And, as we all know, the Israelis, a cowardly people, "don`t like it up `em". |
