Gnservative Rabbis should lay low. Pope Benadict is an honest man. He says what he believes and anything les is not Cathoicism and maybe not even Christianity. For him the Sermon on the Mount is the new Revelation at Sinai (lehavdil), and this is his religion and we can`t do anything about it. For people like the Conservatives who don`t take religion seriously, they are offended.I am not. The lesson to be learned is that Jews have to remain in their space and Christians in theirs and and relatios between Jews and Christians and Gentiles in general cannot be warm and intimate, but only correct. That`s what my mother taught me.
