This causes distress to buddhist and hindus who use idols as a tool for worship, many of the religions that spawned from primitive Judaism, such as christianity and islam have spread hatred towards idol worshippers around the world.
If the Jews of Israel can dictate what others believe in because it affects them adversely, then surely they could remove all the refrences towards idolatry, something billions in the world do. We do not need you gods condemnation or salvation, just as I am sure you do not need Jesus salvation.
