| WE in the west are horrified. No doubt the world press carries these honour killings as daily fare. WE are a different society, we cannot change or accept these barbaric practises. However the Muslim people have their laws, the Sharia, to them, is as our laws are to us.Two different civilizations populate this planet. Do we have to carry the burden of their practises.? Can we ask them to change their customs? Honour killings have been around before the Muslim Faith, "were not adulterous Jewish women stoned to death, 3000 years ago"!. Lets give them time, like we had, after all Islam has only been around for 1.400 or so years. Maybe they were copycats.! |
