| Israel has no interest in peace as long as it is more profitable to avoid peace than to seek it. Avoiding peace allows Israeli expansion to continue in the west bank. In exchange, Israel endures a minor threat to a very small area of the nation. The trade off is well worth it. When the Palestinians or others make it too painful for Israel to continue on this course, then Israel will change course. Until then, talk of peace is a waste of time. The Palestinians should put their heads together and come up with a decent threat, and then they can talk of peace. |
