| Think about it.. 100% cut today? The Israel High Court will have no option but to rule that a violation of Humanitarian Law, and order Barak to throw the switch back again. But... 5% cut today 5% next week 5% the week after etc etc And with each turn of the dimmer switch the IHCJ will say: Why, a 5% drop will hardly be noticed. Yeah, you can drop it by 5%. And by the middle of the year those culmulative cuts amount to 100%. It`s a game that the State and the Court have to play, because otherwise these judge`s are worried that their reputations will be trashed. Israel is determined to cut all the electricity - don`t you worry about that. The old story of the frog and the pot of water: throw him into a pot of hot water, and he`ll immediately leap out. So you put him in cool water and then slooooowly raise the temperature. The frog is Israeli jurisprudence, and the judges require that it be cooked up nice and slow. |
