I guess you missed the whole part about the IAF failing to stop the missile attacks via air power alone, no matter how hard they hit.
We don`t know what hardware Hamas brought in. A supply of short range missiles would give Hamas the ability to repeat Lebanon. How is repeating either the Lebanon missile/air war, or the ground war good for Israel?
The civilian destruction that the air war caused in Lebanon was the DIRECT trigger of international and US pressure on Israel to accept 1701. How is repeating another 1701 style forced cease-fire good for Israel?
It is funny that you think repeating the same mistakes Israel made in Lebanon is such a great idea. I guess some people never learn. |
