| I have a question. Do people not understand that honor killing is nothing more than delusional jealousy which is a precursor of homicide? This is the essence of domestic violence. The way in which the family is structured causes an obsession with the female at birth. She is so devalued that she will never be able to escape this unwanted focus of inappropriate and abusive attention. It is a form of traumatic bonding misplaced with the mother and son relationship. It gets repeated and erotized in an insidious sadomasochism. Generally it takes a woman 7 times to finally leave an abusive relationship. For the culture of honor killing I would imagine that it would be even more difficult. |
