Amos Harel, Haaretz Correspondent: Israel intercepts W. Bank-bound truck loaded with explosive material
Talkback
Title:Why does Haaretz provide only half the story? WHOSE truck?

Potassium nitrate is used to make kassam rockets. There`s no substitute, and it all has to be imported into Gaza. Previous stories reported that this chemical was being smuggled from the West Bank to Gaza in "humanitarian aid" shipments, repackaged and disguised (what "aid" - UNRWA shipments? EU? US?). Now we see the remaining piece of the puzzle - a truck loaded with potassium nitrate caught driving from Israel to Kalkiliya. Well, Israel is the world`s largest manufacturer of potassium nitrate. But responsibility for shipping it to W. Bank? Is it treason by Israel Jews motivated by greed? Treason by Israeli Arabs motivated by politics? Theft by Hamas infiltrators from W. Bank? Outrageous conduct by foreign or UN aid organizations? Haaretz owes its readers some investigative journalism here (since the IDF isn`t talking), so we can see WHO is responsible for the continuing kassam attacks from Gaza - which would dry up without potassium nitrate. WHO, Haaretz?
