| Yes I understand that Hamas` rocket attacks are indiscriminate, as I know that the latest suicide bomb atrocity was indiscriminate. But the logic works in the reverse too. Not all Gazan Palestinians are Hamas terrorists but this use of a drip feed supply of electricity isn`t goping to convince them not to support Hamas or to stop Hamas attacking us. On the contrary it will force more and more of those Gazan Palestinians to support Hamas. Must we really celebrate our might and power over them this way? Wouldn`t it make more sense and cost less and reduce the violence and the loss of life and the daily damage to our already tattered image if we agreed to the 20-25 year Hudna on offer? We`d also get Gilad Shalit back. Strong states use peace and diplomacy, weak states use just force. |
