The US` global position on Iran is one of promoting mis-understanding. The best method for advancing this policy is simple. WE do not talk to THEM in public. For, if we do, then the world may come to see that their position is just as reasonable as our position, and, then, where would we be? Better that this global confrontation is one of public relations rather than dialogue. It seems kind of funny. You have a world-class ambassador with knowledge of the geopolitics of the region who is chastised for having a conversation. What`s the world to think? And, when you consider the background, it is all ludicrous. How many people were killed in the illegal CIA overthrow of the Iranian president in 1953? And how many killed in the overthrow of the US embassy, from where the CIA operated? Yet, the Iranians are the Pariahs unworthy of a world dialogue on our differences. Talking. Yeah, that`s the problem. |
