| not likely, in fact israel bombarded major civilian areas in lebanon, many not even with a shia or hizbollah stronghold to try to make lebanese hate shia militants. it did the opposite, even christians began supporting them because israel proved to be cold blooded killers of innocents. as far as stopping rocket attacks from south lebanon with a massive ground force, that did not happen. in fact, the idf did not advance far and lost plenty of soldiers in south lebanon again (they learned after 18 years in 2000 it was israel`s vietnam). the only way to stop rockets is to get out of the lands it occupies that means, sheba farms of lebanon, golan heights of syria, gaza, west bank, and east jerusalem for palestine, otherwise the fight will continue for more decades. |
