Israel has been trying to kill Nasrallah for many years. During the recent war in Lebanon, there were reports out of Israel about the very hard pounding they were giving a particular "underground bunker". Israeli officials were chomping at the bit to announce Nasrallahs death, but, like the rest of Israels plans during that war, Israel came away looking impotent and foolish. This is essentially what Winograd says, and Nasrallah must be smiling as he compliments him.
