Such charedi efforts to keep adding unfounded stringencies is an aggravation, a distraction, and an effort by extremists to claim to be the most pious, and therefore the ones in charge. The Saudis, Sudanese, Iranians and Taliban use similar strategy. This strategy also promotes hysteria, hatred, and violence, as on "mehadrin" buses. And misogyny. Sheetrit shows sense in criticizing such extremism. |
