| Thanks Jon, in all your enthusiasm you went as far as mis-spelling your name. J.O.H.N. that is how non-Arabs spell John. I see that you are happy that America will be voting in a non-American president, Barak Hussein, not yet though, but sure anything could happen India voted an Italian woman into the role of head of state. Sooooo... As for Israelis seeing themselves as Americans, your ignorance is showing dear boy. Israelis are proud to be Israeli, a culture with a language, religion and people of its own, that they enjoy hamburgers is being as American as I am Thai because I like Pud thai. (that is a Thai dish). As for Haaretz`s coverage of the primaries, well it is a english online service, and Israelis are interested in what goes on in the largest most moral democracy on earth. America shapes the globe, we all depend on her and her ample bosom. I agree though that the psychadellic world of the middle east should be covered more, if not simply as a "freak show". |
