| The extensive bombing of Lebanon in response to a hizbollah border raid was a Doctor Strangelove moment. Lebanon did not attack Israel. Lebanon did not even defend themselves when Israel attacked their entire nation. As usual, the big loser was the American taxpayer, who bought Israels weaopns and ammunition and then paid to claen up the mess which Israel made with those weapons. I guess we Americans are made of money. We are the only major western nation who imposes no spending controls upon ourselves. Of course, the American dollar will soon be worth two cents Canadian. |
