| There is no need for protest and no need for celebration. The most urgent need is to get on with organizing and governing this country in the best possible way. Barak is the best possible Defence Min, Olmert is a chastened, willing, intelligent man who now knows the ins-and-outs of his job better than any other man. To start now with the furious devisive buisness of elections would set us all back, and the results, because of those so hungry for revenge and retribution, could be disasterous for the future of Israel. The results of elections now would be self-inflicted punishment. |
