Sir Nicholas Winton, would be a worthy recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
Since he is probably the only living representative of the saviours of the Holocaust, he should receive the prestigious award on behalf of all the brave heroes, such as Raoul Wallenberg, Giorgio Perlasca, Aristides de Sousa Mendes, Luiz Martins de Souza Dantas, and many more who risked their lives to help the persecuted.
One should not forget the German Jesuit priest, Alfred Delp, who joined the resistance and helped Jews flee to Switzerland. Delp was executed by the Nazis exactly 63 years ago, on Feb 2, 1945, his ashes scattered in a dumpster. He was offered his life in exchange of his commitment to abandon the Jesuits and his anti-Nazi activities, but he preferred to die.
Above all, these heroes have saved the dignity of mankind.
The International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation are devoted to preserve and divulge their feats.
