| As long as the IDF does not go on the offensive, it does well. In Lebanon 1 and Lebanon 2, the IDF waged an offensive war and failed. Secondly, we know how to wage war against armies-Egypt, Jordan Syria-but not against urban militias-Lebanon 1 and 2. Perhaps that is why the army is afraid to engage Hamas. Apparently, a great degree of ruthlesness is required of our officers and men in dealing with these types of conflicts. |
