Israeli officials have admitted to the investigators, that there was an operational error by Israel.There has been used the old maps, where this UN post was not marked, though it was clearly seen in photos and it has been there over ten years. Those soldiers phoned many times to IDF, that the bombs send by IDF came very near and all those phonecalls were registered. They were promised to take care of that. There were contacts before the final "attack" even to the UN and israeli UN envoy,who also promised to take care of their security.
Maybe an error and mistake, but this mistake was really not the only one where innocent people got killed -in vain. |
