| All, Egypt caught 5 suicide bombers with belts. Now another 12 were caught with explosives. The Egyptian media is making it clear that they are a threat to Egypt. Egypt has already tired of Al-Queda linked terrorists attacking Sinai resorts - a big income maker for the Egyptian economy. These Jihadist Bedouins were caught smuggling explosives to Hamas through the Rafah tunnels. Clearly, Hamas has irritated the Egyptian regime. The breach was Hamas` last ditch attempt to rescue the Gazan economy and bring the Gazans over to their side. Gaza was better off when the Fatah was running the border. When the border is re-sealed, there will be a negative reaction to Hamas` failure. The result - Egypt is re-arming Fatah. Soon, the Fatah/Hamas civil war (which never ended) will restart. Hamas no longer has the support of most of the populace. Ultimately, the Sunni powers will force Hamas back into a unity government led by Fayyad that will accept the Saudi Initiative. |
