When Jerusalem was liberated in June 1967 the soldiers erected Israel´s flag on the Temple Mount, to affirm Jewish sovereignty, however a few days later Dayan decided to give the custody of the mount to the Waqf...supported by the Israeli nomenklatura. So was decided the future of the Mount...I believe that among Israeli former prime-ministers, only Begin and Shamir had real high self-esteem being for being Jews.
