| Hatikva is unconstitutional and is against the declaration of independence, which is the basic law of the state (although this is not recognized by SC). Declaration of Independence called for a state for the benefit of all its inhabitants, not for the benefit of the Jews, or any other ethnicity. Hatikva as a national symbol isolates 20% of Israels population, it must therefore be abolished as a state symbol. Zionists can still sing it if they wish to. |
